Aji Pineapple

The stem of the Aji Pineapple pepper plant can reach up to 100 cm in height. Its leaves are green, and its flowers are white. It has a bushy growth habit. After transplantation, it takes about 90 days to harvest the first fresh fruits. As they ripen, the fruits of the Aji Pineapple pepper change from green to yellow. The fruits are elongated in shape, slightly wrinkled along the entire length. This variety is versatile, like most peppers belonging to the Aji genus. The taste of Aji Pineapple peppers is sweet, refreshing, and fruity, with a pineapple aroma as its name suggests. The fruits are most commonly used fresh in salsas, seasonal salads, and sandwiches. They pair well with saltier meats, such as bacon and ham. They are also often used as a base for fruity hot sauces due to their fruity flavor and moderate heat.
