Habanero Numex Suave

The Habanero Numex Suave variety is a creation of the State University of New Mexico. This pepper plant can grow to be 45-90 cm tall. It has green leaves, and the flowers are white. After 90 days from transplanting, the first fresh fruits can be harvested. The fruits of the Habanero Numex Suave pepper are larger and more wrinkled than those of classic Habanero peppers. They are approximately 6 cm long. As they ripen, they transition from green to orange. Their aroma is extremely fruity, reminiscent of the classic habanero scent, but they have almost no spiciness (850 SHU). This pepper is prolific and bears fruit earlier than classic Habaneros. Due to its fruity aroma and mild spiciness, this pepper is appealing to all fans of mild aromatic peppers. They can be consumed fresh with various dishes, such as salads, homemade salsas, sandwiches, stews, and more. They are also excellent for creating mild fruity sauces.

Soil Temperature for Sowing: 27-32°C
Germination Time: 7-28 days
Planting: Seedlings are transplanted directly into the soil or large pots at an air temperature >18°C, in our climate towards the end of May.
Temperature after Transplanting: around 21°C, nighttime temperatures >16°C.
Required Pot Size: If planting in pots, use containers with a minimum capacity of 15 liters.
Spacing within the Row: 45-60 cm between two plants in a row
