Vezenka

Macedonian Vezena, a variety with a distinct origin, can grow up to 45-60 cm in height. It has green leaves and white flowers. After 80-85 days from transplantation, the first fruits can be harvested. They can be 10-17 cm long with a diameter of 5 cm. Upon ripening, the fruits of this variety transition from green to bright red. The fruits of Macedonian Vezena are recognizable for their characteristic pattern of lines running along the entire surface, giving them a cracked appearance. They have a mild heat level and a sweet taste. They can be used fresh during the season in salads or salsas, but also dried or ground throughout the year for cooking.
