Peter Pepper

Peter Pepper is a chili pepper with a very interesting fruit shape. It grows 60-90 cm tall, with green leaves and white flowers. After transplanting, it takes about 95 days to produce the first fruits. Due to its phallic shape, the fruits of this pepper resemble, well, you know what, especially since they reach a length of 7 to 10 cm. Some authors try to describe the fruit of this pepper in a more decent way, stating that it has a wrinkled and creased shape with a slightly indented round tip. However, let’s not deceive ourselves, the fruits resemble a penis, hence the most popular nickname for this pepper, Penis Pepper. As they ripen, the fruits transition from green to red or yellow. One plant can produce up to 40 fruits in a single growing season. In terms of taste, it resembles Jalapeno peppers with a bit more sweetness but also more heat. It is highly valued in the culinary world for its flavor and heat, and partly because of its shape 😉
