Bhut Jolokia Chocolate pepper seeds produce a pepper also known as Naga Jolokia, Ghost pepper, or Ghost chile. It held the record for the world’s hottest pepper until recently with over 1,000,000 Scoville units. In addition to this variety which ripens to a chocolate (brown) color, there are also red, yellow, and orange varieties.
The fruits are elongated and rough on the outside, measuring 6 to 8 cm in length and are extremely hot. The plant itself typically grows between 80 and 120 cm in height. Despite its intense heat and use in pepper sprays, Bhut Jolokia has a distinct and intense flavor, and even small amounts can add a unique taste to any sauce.
SEED IS NOT ISOLATED. In some cases, the ordered plant may not always grow from the seed due to cross-pollination. This is about 5% of the plants.
GERMINATION: Under suitable conditions, the average germination rate of the seeds is 70%.
